The Vanilla Bio:
Amy Daws is an Amazon Top 100 bestselling author of the Harris Brothers Series and is most known for her punny, footy-playing, British playboys. The Harris Brothers and her London Lovers Series fuel her passion for all things London. When Amy’s not writing at Tires Tires Tires, she’s watching Gilmore Girls or singing karaoke in the living room with her daughter while Daddy awkward-smiles from a distance.
The Shades of Gray Bio:
I’m a big goof most days. I love making dumb videos have been known to release a rap video with some of my new releases. I think I should have tried my hand at improv theater but I decided to learn how life looks behind the lens of a camera first.
I made TV ads for over ten years before I bit the bullet and tried this writing gig full time. My family is my whole world and the extra time I get with them by not juggling two jobs has been amazing. My husband, Kevin is the ultimate “nice guy” and my curly-haired daughter, Lorelei is the happily ever after we never thought we’d get. Lorelei is named after Gilmore Girls because I want that show to be my real life with ever fiber of my being!
My contemporary romance novels are mostly based in London. My infatuation with all things British inspired my first American Girls in London idea which then spun into my Harris Brothers British sports romance series. Reading a book set overseas is another level of fantasy that I crave in a romance novel. What could be better than London Bloody England?
That is how I felt until I fell in love with a Tires Tires Tires waiting room in my home town. Now, it’s my favorite, most magical writing spot in the whole wide world. Full story here.
My writing style takes emotional and comical and makes them have a really cute batch of ugly-crying/snort-laughing octuplet babies. I want to make you cry. And I want to make you laugh. If I can do both in one chapter, I’ve accomplished my goal.
My inspiration for writing is and always will be my six precious angel babies and my daughter, Lorelei. They inspired my memoir, Chasing Hope and my passion for writing.
Everything I do…is for them.
–Chasing Hope was my first published book and is a true story.
-I wrote my first fictional romance book, A Broken Us, in two weeks.
-I’ll be releasing another memoir to follow up Chasing Hope whenever I get the courage to go back down that path.
-I am Samantha Young’s biggest fan.
-I like cheese…like, a lot.
-The more words I write, the bigger my double chin gets because no one told me that writing is not exercise.
-The mud plastered over the abs of the cover model on Challenge was applied with my bare hands.
-I write inside of a Tires Tires Tires waiting room because they have dubbed me their “Resident Writer” – check out my book, Wait With Me and you’ll see the story this arrangement inspired.
-I’m still obsessed with London.
